What If My Insurance Company Wants Me to Use Another Shop?
If you have already chosen C.A.R.S., simply tell your insurance company that C.A.R.S. is your repair facility of choice. You do not need to change repair facilities simply because another shop is suggested.
If you are told that choosing your own repair facility may cause delays, additional costs, or other problems with your claim, contact us. We can help you understand the repair process, communicate with the insurance company, and identify the questions you may want to ask.
Know Your Rights
• You choose the collision repair facility.
• You can choose an independent repair shop.
• You can ask that your vehicle be repaired according to manufacturer repair procedures.
• You can ask questions about parts, repair procedures, and what your insurance company is paying for.
• If something about your claim doesn’t seem right, ask questions before authorizing the repair.

Your Right to Choose a Collision Repair Shop
You Have the Right to Choose Who Repairs Your Vehicle
After an accident, your insurance company may recommend a particular collision repair facility. However, the choice of where your vehicle is repaired is yours.
At C.A.R.S., we believe you should be able to make that decision based on who you trust to repair your vehicle properly — not simply on which shop an insurance company recommends.
The Insurance Company Does Not Choose Your Repair Shop
You are not required to use a repair facility simply because it is recommended by an insurance company. You may choose the collision repair facility you trust.
C.A.R.S. is an independent collision repair facility. We work for you, the vehicle owner. Our goal is to repair your vehicle properly using manufacturer repair procedures and to help you understand the repair process and your insurance claim.
What Does “Right to Choose” Mean?
When you file an insurance claim, the insurance company may provide a list of preferred or recommended repair shops. You can consider those recommendations, but you are free to select the repair facility you want.
Choosing C.A.R.S. does not prevent you from making an insurance claim. We regularly work with insurance companies throughout the repair process while remaining focused on properly repairing your vehicle and representing your interests as the vehicle owner.
